A big thank you this month to Mike Zala who has assisted by going through his personal collection of photos, programs, newspaper clippings and tickets to find things we were missing from the website. Liana has been able to digitise these and load them into their respective production pages. He also provided some video footage which Evelyn has been able to digitise and upload to the respective productions.

Mike's contribution has also meant being able to identify a number of productions that we previously didn't have any listing for on the website. While for most we have very little information, it's wonderful to have a record of them started. These include

Volunteer Liana Emmerson has been doing a lot of history training since the last update. She has trained with the AusStage database team to learn how to record BNT's theatre history, linking it to relevant source like Trove of the Australian Centre for Goldrush Collections. This will be especially useful as she becomes familiar with the BNT collection at the ACGC, knowing how to use the collection to expand the information in the databse.

Liana also went through training at the ACGC, pictured here. Liana learned how the cataloguing system worked and how to use the resources and tools to connect people with the collection.

Once trained, Liana has begun the process of exploring the collection, identifying what has or has not yet been digitised, and cataloguing items that have not been yet logged in the collection. This started with old correspondence folders dating back to 1951, including original letters related to the establishment of the Victorian Drama League.
